Intermittent Fasting / Method / Benefit.

INTERMITTENT FASTINGIntermittent fasting is an eating method that cycles between period of Fasting and Eating
it doesn't specify which food you should eat.
its not a DIET but more accurately described as an eating pattern.
Fasting from time to time is more natural than always eating  3-4 meals per day.

       

    METHODS OF INTERMITTENT FASTING

1. The 16/8 method  : 

it involves skipping breakfast and restricting your daily eating period to 8 hours such as 1-9 p.m .
Then you fast for 16 hours in between.

2.Eat -stop-Eat  :

this involves fasting for 24 hours , once or twice a week ,for example by not eating from dinner one day until dinner the next day.but it quiet difficult .

3.The 5:2 diet method :

in this method you consume only 500-600 calories on two non consecutive days of the week  but eat normally then other 5 days.

               By reducing your calorie intake all of these method cause weight loss.

BENEFITS :-

 1. WEIGHT LOSS

It reduce belly fat without having to consciously restrict calories .

2. INSULIN RESISTANCE :

It reduce blood sugar level by 3-6% which protect against diabetes.

3. HEART HEALTH :

It may reduce bad cholesterol LDL , it reduce the risk of heart disease. 

4. BRAIN HEALTH :

Intermittent fasting increase the brain hormone BDNF and it help in growth of new nerve cells.

 Who should avoid intermittent fasting?

  • Diabetic patients.
  • Who have low blood pressure.
  • Pregnant or breastfeeding women.
  • Who are under weight.
  • Who have eating disorder.
  • A woman who is trying to conceive.
